Sealing Devices Partners with Golisano Institute

Lancaster manufacturer will support students from the Institute’s first Buffalo cohort through field experiences and internships

LANCASTER, N.Y. — July 20, 2026 — Sealing Devices Inc. announced a new partnership with Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship to provide field experience and internship opportunities for students attending the Institute’s new Buffalo campus, which will welcome its first cohort in fall 2026. The campus is located at 125 Washington Street in downtown Buffalo.

Through the partnership, Sealing Devices will introduce students to the day-to-day operations of an established Western New York manufacturing company. Depending on their interests and stage in the program, students may gain exposure to areas such as operations, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, supply chain, quality and other business functions.

Students benefit tremendously from seeing how the skills they learn in the classroom are applied to real decisions, projects and challenges,” said Elizabeth Galanis, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sealing Devices. “We are proud to support the launch of Golisano Institute’s Buffalo campus and help prepare the next generation of business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals here in Western New York.

Practical work experience is a core component of Golisano Institute’s accelerated two-year business program. Students begin with a 35-hour field experience centered on job shadowing, informational interviews and applied learning. Later in the program, they complete a 200-hour part-time internship and a full-time internship of up to 400 hours, allowing them to take on increasingly substantive projects and responsibilities.

As an employer partner, Sealing Devices will provide students with meaningful assignments, designated supervision and mentorship, onboarding, regular feedback and opportunities to better understand how different departments work together to support an organization’s goals.

Founded in Rochester in 2023, Golisano Institute offers an accelerated, business-focused educational model designed to combine classroom learning with entrepreneurship, applied experience and connections to the business community. Its Buffalo location will be the Institute’s second campus.
