Lancaster, NY; February 26, 2024 – Sealing Devices Inc. has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2024 honor by The Buffalo News.
This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The confidential survey assesses various aspects of the workplace experience, including respect and support for employees, opportunities for growth, and empowerment in job roles.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Terry Galanis, Jr., CEO of Sealing Devices, emphasized the company’s commitment to foster an environment that supports employee growth. “As a family-owned business with a 60-year legacy, we focus on developing our team, aligning with our dedication to being a people-first organization,” he stated.
Sealing Devices employs over 240 individuals and prides itself on providing their associates with opportunities for advancement within many different manufacturing and office roles. The company offers their signature profit-sharing incentive, no-cost medical coverage, paid-time off and many other benefits. This past year the company launched a “Community at Work” committee, an initiative to empower employees, provide a sense of community, belonging, and engagement through employee sponsored activities or experiences.
“Receiving the Top Place to Work recognition reflects the culture we have worked hard to cultivate and nurture,” added Elizabeth Galanis-Miller, Sealing Devices President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are committed to attracting and retaining the best people, understanding they are key to our customers’ success.”
This prestigious recognition is a testament to the strength and spirit of our team. It is based solely on feedback from our valued employees, through a comprehensive survey conducted by Energage, LLC. Your honest feedback about our work environment, respect, support, opportunities for growth, and empowerment in your roles has made us stand out among other workplaces in Western New York.
This is a big deal for us. It means we’re on the right track in making our company a great place to work, where employee voices are heard and appreciated.
As a family-owned business with a rich 60-year legacy, we’ve always prioritized the development and well-being of our team. This approach aligns with our core belief in being a people-first organization, something my father instilled in us from the beginning. Elizabeth and I are both humbled and inspired by this recognition, seeing it as a reflection of the nurturing and empowering culture we’ve endeavored to build.
Thank you to the Buffalo News for this recognition.
