Lancaster, NY; October 27, 2021 – Sealing Devices, Inc. broadens its manufacturing capabilities at the company’s headquarters in Buffalo, NY with the addition of a new, high-tech waterjet cutting machine.  Waterjet cutting is an efficient and cost-effective way to achieve precision cuts of complex and intricate parts using a jet of high-pressure, high-velocity water. Because no die needs to be created, waterjet cutting is perfect for short runs, prototypes, and custom designs that demand quick turnaround times. The company is also evaluating other production machinery and automation capabilities to add in the coming months.

“Investing in new equipment has always been an important philosophy of our company.  It provides our customers with access to a broader range of capabilities to produce their sealing designs,” says Terry Galanis, Jr. CEO of Sealing Devices. “Not only will this capability allow us to cut a variety of materials including rubber, sponge, foam, insulation, plastics, laminates, compressed fiber and others, but it will also help us meet the growing needs of our customer base.”

Sealing Devices Waterjet cutting capability adds to the company’s already impressive 200 pieces of manufacturing equipment and in-house tooling and die-making allow us to make gaskets from commercial and mil-spec rubber, compressed sheet gaskets, cloth inserted gaskets, paper, fabric, felt, and most any other material with quick-cut options. To learn more about waterjet cutting and view a video of the capability in action, visit: sealingdevices.com/waterjet-cutting.
