Lancaster, NY; May 24, 2022, Sealing Devices Inc. wins the Sustainability category for the Business First 2022 Manufacturing Awards.
Sealing Devices is committed to sustainability through continual reinvestment in new technologies and capabilities. The campus is consistently improving processes while also investing in new machines and technologies to keep up with standards in an ever-changing world. When long-term partners are looking for additional services or new processes, Sealing Devices is the first to evaluate all customer’s options. Their excellent supplier relationships also help to withstand 59 years in the industry. This allows customers to have options in the materials they may purchase to reduce costs.
- Solar Powered: Sealing Devices added to its already impressive solar-powered facilities, installing new solar panels on top of Plant 4, Rubber molding. The solar panels now cover 50% of the buildings now and account for covering about 70%.
- Energy-Efficient: A computerized system manages fans for ventilation, air conditioning and heading to ensure the highest level of efficiency. Also, new LED lighting was installed throughout the campus
- Recycling: The company prides itself on recycling as many materials as possible. Carboard and paper are recycled through Cascades, Scrap metal including copper and aluminum goes through Ed Arnold Scrap; Hazardous waste to include oil and other toxins is ethically disposed of with Chemtron.
